LAB TECHNICIAN: PACKAGING

LOCATION: DAPOCOS BUILDING
DURATION: FULL TIME
DEADLINE: 16th September, 2026

The Key Purpose of this role is sample collection, preparation and analysis of raw materials, beer in process and finished products.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Communicate effectively in the workplace
  • Contribute to personal and team development
  • Conduct sampling in accordance with prescribed manual methods
  • Identify, verify and handle samples to preserve their integrity according to the manual
  • Prepare and dispatch samples, when required, in accordance with the manual
  • Prepare equipment and reagents according to prescribed methods
  • Perform analyses using fundamental laboratory techniques and practices
  • Generate accurate results within the required timeframe
  • Record and report results in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Identify non-conformances
  • Follow procedures for out-of-specification products

Laboratory Equipment

  • Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment according to manual methods
  • Observe calibration schedules and frequencies
  • Ensure calibration records are available and up to date

Safe and Healthy Working Environment

  • Comply with PPE policies
  • Identify and correct unsafe working conditions and practices
  • Handle chemicals and reagents according to established procedures
  • Store, handle and dispose of hazardous substances in accordance with procedures
  • Adhere to laboratory safety rules, guidelines and documented practices
  • Report and correct incidents according to procedure
  • Follow cleaning schedules

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent
  • 3–6 months of on-the-job training
