Accra Brewery PLC Joins Delegation to Discuss Advancing Ghana’s Industrialization

Dr. Humphrey Ayim Darke, President of AGI, led a delegation, including ABL’s Legal and Compliance counsel Philip Buafor, to meet with Ghana’s Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed. The discussion focused on strengthening government-industry collaboration to advance Ghana’s industrialization.

AGI highlighted GRIPE’s contributions to plastic management and recycling, as well as the productive partnership between AGI members and the ministry. Key topics included environmental tax revenue management, with the ministry agreeing to share expenditure details.

The Minister commended AGI’s role in national development and emphasized ongoing initiatives like the National Science and Technology Fair and the “Every Child Per Tree” sustainability campaign. He urged AGI’s support for sustainability laws and policies.

The Minister reiterated his commitment to supporting local manufacturers and leveraging private sector expertise in policymaking. AGI’s President affirmed the association’s dedication to national development.
