The Key Purpose of the role is to maintain equipment in an as new condition, assuring reliable performance to standard through inspections, prevention, corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition, problem solving to address root cause of failures and loop closure and provide input into the ZBB maintenance budget. Coaches operators in the correct way to operate equipment and perform autonomous operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
- Identification of unsafe practices through SIO’s
- Safety inspections conducted
- Safe maintenance practices audited
- Adherence to PPE policies
- Maintenance tools are in good working order
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and or systems
- Plan and prepare the job
- Carry out repairs / maintenance
- Operate workshop equipment
- Prepare for production
- Operate and monitor machine performance
- Startup machines
- Run the machines
- Carry out machine lubrication and inspection
- Ensure cleaning of machines
- Interpret and implement production plan for the shift
- Measure and record performance attributes
- Optimize usage of resources
- Support the team to improve process quality
- Facilitate team problem solving
- Monitor trends and initiate corrective action
- Portray good knowledge of brewing processes and technologies
- Ensure total productive maintenance
- Support the overall brewing team initiatives and arrangements
- Any other duties assigned by the Brewing Area Manager and Brewing Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. Engineering degree – Electrical
- Min. Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Good knowledge of production processes and technologies
- Familiarity with maintenance systems e.g. COSWIN
- Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance practices
