The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has assured industry players of a comprehensive implementation roadmap for the digital tax stamp programme by the end of August 2025. This assurance was given by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Edward Apenteng Gyamerah during a high-level engagement with a delegation from Accra Brewery PLC (ABL).
The ABL delegation, led by its Board Chairman, Dr. George Dawson Ahmoah, met with senior GRA officials to discuss the status and rollout of the digital tax stamp initiative. The meeting focused on industry readiness, clarity of timelines, and collaborative measures needed to ensure a smooth transition.
Mr. Gyamerah noted that the roadmap, once finalized, will outline key timelines, technical guidelines, and industry support systems necessary for full implementation. He reaffirmed GRA’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations and compliance with the tax regime.
Dr. Ahmoah commended the GRA for its openness and reiterated ABL’s commitment to supporting national tax policies that promote transparency and accountability.
According to the GRA the digital tax stamp initiative, just like the paper tax stamps will allow manufacturers to procure some parts of the infrastructure that best suits their systems.
