ACCRA BREWERY CHAMPIONS RESPONSIBLE DRINKING THROUGH “CHEERS TO MODERATION” INITIATIVE
Accra Brewery PLC (ABL), part of AB InBev, reinforced its commitment to responsible consumption through its annual smart drinking campaign dubbed Cheers to Moderation” , highlighting moderation as a lifestyle of balance, mindfulness, and shared celebration.
As part of the celebration, employees hit the streets for a trade visit, engaging retailers and consumers to educate them on responsible drinking, the importance of moderation, and making informed choices about alcohol consumption.
According to Solomon Ayiah, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, ABL continues to invest in programmes, partnerships, and product innovations that promote responsible enjoyment. The company’s growing range of low- and non-alcoholic beverages ,including Club Shandy (2.0%) and Beta Malt, reflects its commitment to offering consumers more balanced choices.
Through partnerships with government agencies and communities, ABL aims to reduce underage drinking, promote road safety, and support retailers in responsible sales practices.
For ABL, moderation is more than a message, it’s a movement.
By promoting smart habits like pacing drinks and alternating with water, ABL continues to champion a culture where celebration and responsibility go hand in hand, one toast at a time.

The Oguaa Fetu Afahye is one of Ghana’s most vibrant traditional festivals, bringing communities together through culture, celebration, and heritage. For us at Accra Brewery, being present at such festivals has become a tradition and this year was no exception. We were once again proud to champion our Smart Drinking Campaign, reminding everyone that celebration and responsibility go hand in hand.
Through powerful messages like “Don’t drink and drive,” “Don’t drink if you’re under 18,” “Pregnant women shouldn’t drink,” and “Drink in moderation” we encouraged festivalgoers to make smart choices. SMART DRINKING CAMPAIGN
The ABL second quarter “Smart Drinking” campaign took place at Kwahu in the eastern region, during the annual Kwahu Easter celebration. Its arguably the biggest festival in Ghana and attracts people from all over the world. The occasion was used to educate revelers on ABL’s responsible drinking initiatives and guidance information on the labels of its alcoholic brands’ such as alcohol not suitable for people under 18 years and pregnant woman. The campaign also targeted all category of drivers alerting them not to drink and drive.



































“BE RESPONSIBLE” DRINKING CAMPAIGN
The Kwahu Easter festival is one of the biggest events in Ghana, for the indigenes of Kwahu it is a homecoming event, for holiday revelers it is an occasion for celebration. As Accra Brewery PLC continues to invest in a Healthier World where every experience with beer is positive, the “Be Responsible” SMART Drinking campaign focusing on our biggest consumer brand CLUB Beer was launched in Kwahu. This campaign educated our consumers on the guidance labels on our products, engaged our consumers to not engage in any harmful use of alcohol and share with them some smart drinking tips as they enjoy our products. The Legal and Corporate Affairs engaged over 2,000 consumers over a 3-day highly successful SMART Drinking campaign. To all our cherished consumers, Chale, Drink Responsibly!
