Key Responsibilities
To provide technical expertise to the shift teams, in order to optimize the process and performance measures for an energy and fluids process area and to ensure maintenance integrity within energy and fluids.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Optimize plant availability and process outputs
- Optimize and reduce utilities usages and waste discharge
- Support technical projects
- Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
- Plan and implement maintenance priorities
- Manage issues emanating from system usage reports
- Ensure adherence to asset care business processes
- Maintain maintenance integrity
- Develop employees
- Ensure a positive employee relations climate
- Manage and apply personnel practices
- Communicate effectively in the workplace
- Implement safety, health and environmental legislation and procedures

- Lead the change process to implement the manufacturing way principles and practices within area of control
- Ensure that the manufacturing way principles and practices become the standard work practices within area of control
- Ensure that all team members are fully conversant with the Voyager Plant Optimization (VPO) means and results
- Conduct regular assessments using the VPO method to assess team / department maturity in the VPO practices
- Develop and drive implementation plans to progress maturity in the VPO principles and practices.

Key Accountabilities:
- Provide technical expertise

- Operate utilities plant and equipment
- Compile and Manage asset Care Budgets for B&U
- Optimize Maintenance reliability, availability and cost.
Minimum Requirements:
- Min – Engineer (Mech /Process/ Elec) Ideal – BSc Process or Mechanical Engineer with Diploma in Brewing (IBD) as additional business qualification Registered Engineer
- Min – Complete Engineering Traineeship or Diploma in Brewing plus 3 months on the job training Ideal – Diploma in Brewing plus 6 months on the job training
- 1 Year – 18 months as a Team Leader or 1 year as a Maintenance Planner / Controller
