25th September, 2018

Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) supported the launch of the Adabraka Literacy Programme, a project initiated by Nii Tetteh Adjabeng II, the Adabraka Atukpai Mantse to improve the decline in the literacy levels of the Ga language in the Adabraka community.

ABL donated 69 packs of Beta Malt, its non-alcoholic malt brand, and 100 Beta Malt-branded shirts as part of its support towards the programme.

Speaking at the launch, ABL’s Legal & Corporate Affairs Director, Ms. Adwoa Aaba Arthur, commended Nii Tetteh Adjabeng II for his admirable initiative.

Ms. Arthur remarked that “as a proud part of the Anheuser-Busch InBev family, our Dream is to bring people together for a better world. To achieve this Dream, we invest in a Growing World where everyone has the opportunity to improve their livelihood”.

She also mentioned that Accra Brewery Limited’s support of this initiative is to help prepare Adabraka’s youth for future opportunities.

Nii Tetteh Adjabeng II expressed his profound gratitude to ABL for their support.

He said that “ABL has been a crucial partner in the development of the Adabraka community and they have never failed to support us. We are immensely grateful for their consistent support over the years, especially as we strive to improve the literacy standards among our youth.”

The launch of the Adabraka Literacy Programme was climaxed with a Ga language quiz competition amongst six selected schools from the Adabraka community.

As part of ABL’s Dream to bring people together for a better world, the business also invests in a Healthier World where every experience with beer is positive, and in a Cleaner World where our natural resources are shared and preserved for the future.
