Accra Brewery PLC, WFP, and AB InBev Foundation maiden stakeholder meeting to Strengthen Local Supply Chains and Support Smallholder Farmers held.
Selected maize farmer groups, aggregators, and input suppliers in the Bono and Ashanti regions have expressed optimism about the growth of their businesses this year. This positive outlook was shared at the inaugural stakeholder meeting held in the Bono and Ashanti regions, aimed at showcasing the impactful partnership between Accra Brewery PLC, the World Food Programme, and the AB InBev Foundation.
The pilot phase of the project, set to conclude in 2024, targets the production of about 5,500 metric tons of maize. The focus of the project is on empowering women and youth, thereby fostering inclusive growth within the agricultural sector.
