Accra Brewery PLC Attends One-Week Observation for Daasebre Osei Bonsu II

The one-week observation for the late Asante Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II has been held at the Mampong Palace in the Ashanti Region. This solemn event drew dignitaries, traditional leaders, and citizens from across Ghana to honor the memory of the revered chief.

Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, who passed away in April 2025, was the longest-serving occupant of the Silver Stool, making him the second-in-command to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. His leadership was marked by dedication to the Asante Kingdom and its traditions.

In a directive from the Asantehene, the Mampong Traditional Council has been instructed to organize the burial of the late chief within three weeks of the one-week observation, ensuring that a successor can be enstooled promptly .
In preparation for the ceremony, the Mampong Traditional Council had placed a ban on all public processions, funerals, and noise-making activities to maintain the solemnity of the occasion.
