ABL HOSTS MEDIA STAKEHOLDERS FOR A FACILITY TOUR

Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), a subsidiary of Anheuser Busch InBev (AB-InBev), the world’s leading brewer, engaged its media partners from television, print, and radio during a tour of its brewery at Agbogbloshie.
Ms. Adwoa Aaba Arthur, ABL’s Legal & Corporate Affairs Director, stated that “we are more focused and determined to realise our Dream of bringing people together for a better world, as well as satisfying our consumers”.
Speaking to the journalists who toured ABL’s packaging lines, Ms. Arthur, stated that “the media is one of ABL’s key stakeholders who we regularly engage, and this year, it is important that we meet with you to share updates on new developments of the business. “
One of the new developments is the completion of our new Packaging Line which will be inaugurated in the second quarter of 2018. On February 27, 2015, ABL commissioned the first phase of the modernisation and capacity expansion project at their site in Graphic road, this first phase resulted from an investment of $85m. “The business has now completed the second and final phase of this project which includes a state of the art packaging line, following a further investment of $35m”.

Speaking on the company’s Smart Drinking initiatives, Ms. Arthur mentioned that ABL “is deeply committed to ensuring that consumers drink responsibly by creating awareness on smart drinking through all our communication platforms such as our corporate website, posters and billboards”.
In addition, Ms. Arthur shared ABL’s viewpoint on the recent ban by the Food & Drugs Authority (FDA) on advertising alcoholic beverages; saying that “the beverage company is complying with the directive”.
“As part of growing our recognized leadership in the market, ABL recently launched Stella Artois, a pale lager, to the market in December 2017. Also, the business introduced Beta Malt, our non-alcoholic malt beverage, in Returnable Glass Bottles (RGBs)”.
Accra Brewery Limited was established in 1931, with its products namely; CLUB Premium Lager; Eagle Extra Stout; Eagle Lager; CLUB Shandy; Castle Milk Stout; Stella Artois, and non-alcoholic malt brand, Beta Malt.
