Accra Brewery PLC Staff Support National Clean-Up Exercise

Employees of Accra Brewery PLC joined the President’s call for a nationwide clean-up exercise following the recent floods that affected parts of Greater Accra, leaving behind widespread destruction and debris.

After touring the affected communities, the President directed the release of emergency relief funds, ordered the removal of structures obstructing waterways, and called for intensified measures to prevent future flooding.

As part of these interventions, the Government, through the Post-Flood Mitigation Committee, declared Friday, 10 July and Saturday, 11 July 2026 as National General Cleaning Days in the seven regions affected by the floods. The exercise was launched under the theme “Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana After the Floods.” Its objective is to mobilize citizens, businesses, public institutions, security agencies, and local authorities to undertake a nationwide clean-up to reduce the risk of further flooding ahead of the expected heavy rains.

The volunteer exercise saw ABL staff come together to help clear drains, remove waste, and restore affected public spaces as part of the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community well-being.

Speaking on the initiative, Accra Brewery PLC reaffirmed its dedication to supporting national efforts that promote cleaner, safer, and more resilient communities. The company encouraged collective action, emphasizing that rebuilding communities after disasters requires the shared responsibility of government, businesses, and citizens.

The clean-up exercise reflects Accra Brewery PLC’s continued commitment to sustainability and its purpose of creating a future with more cheers by making a positive impact on the communities where it operates.
