ABL INTRODUCES EAGLE EXTRA STOUT IN ACCRA: WITH A RETAIL OUTREACH

Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s leading brewer, and manufacturer of Ghana’s quintessential beer, CLUB Premium Lager, has introduced a new addition to its brand portfolio, Eagle Extra Stout, in Accra through two retail outreach sessions.

The retail outreaches, held simultaneously at ABL’s premises at Adabraka, and Friday’s Pub, Sakumono, Accra, brought together approximately 300 retailers to sample and learn about the new beverage.

Speaking at the Sakumono Retail Outreach, the Brand Manager of ABL’s Eagle Brand, Mr. John Baptist Akado, said that, “the introduction of Eagle Extra Stout forms part of our Dream to be trusted for our diverse portfolio of high quality brands to suit every palate”.

Mr. Akado further added that compared to competing brands, Eagle Extra Stout, is brewed using locally-grown maize and cassava with roasted barley giving it its rich, dark look. He stated that this “is a full-flavoured, great-tasting, and easier to drink beverage which seeks to reward the Ghanaian youth for their hard work by offering a product of the highest quality at an affordable price”.

Also, at the outreach held at ABL’s premises, Mr. Kwasi Amoako, ABL’s District Manager for Accra, said the beverage ‘has been an instant hit with consumers and retailers throughout Ghana”.

“In addition, retailers invited to the outreach stated that the sale of Eagle Extra Stout will provide them with good margins, as well as offer an alternative beverage to serve their customers.”

Eagle Extra Stout joins a growing and diverse beverage range from Ghana’s premier brewer, Accra Brewery Limited. The company’s offerings now comprise of CLUB Premium Lager, CLUB Shandy Bosoe, Eagle Lager, Castle Milk Stout, Stella Artois, and Beta Malt, a non-alcoholic malt beverage.

Eagle Extra Stout has a Alcohol By Volume (ABV) content of 7.5% and retails at GHC3.00 per bottle and GHC50.00 per crate.
