Accra Brewery PLC (ABL) held a high-level meeting with Mr. Kwabena Apau Anto, Head of the Excise Unit at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), on 23rd July 2025, as part of ongoing consultations regarding the implementation of digital tax stamps in Ghana.
The ABL delegation was led by Mr. Solomon Ayiah, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs. During the engagement, Mr. Apau Anto disclosed that the GRA is yet to finalize the comprehensive roadmap for the nationwide rollout of the digital tax stamp system. He noted that internal stakeholder consultations are still in progress, including discussions with De La Rue, the designated technology partner.
A final meeting is scheduled to consolidate stakeholder inputs before an official announcement is made. Accra Brewery PLC reiterated its unwavering commitment to compliance, transparency, and collaboration with the GRA and all relevant stakeholders.
ABL emphasized its support for regulatory initiatives aimed at enhancing tax administration, ensuring fairness, and curbing illicit trade within the beverage industry.
