CLUB Premium Lager, Accra Brewery Limited’s (ABL) flagship brand and undoubtedly Ghana’s quintessential beer again featured prominently in Kwahu’s annual Easter festivities. This year, Ghana’s number one selling beer moved things up a notch, and introduced technology into its activities.
Speaking on CLUB Premium Lager’s activities over the 4-day Easter festivities, Ms. Ewurafua Addo-Atuah, Accra Brewery Limited’s (ABL) Country Marketing Lead, said that “we had several in-bar activations in about 18 outlets in 5 towns with activations 3 times a day; morning, afternoon, and evening”.
Ms. Addo-Atuah further added that “this year, ABL did something different. Instead of the regular scratch and win cards we’ve been using for activations, we used an app called ‘You Winner’ which allowed our promoters to use tablets for digital activations. We also gave consumers 100 megabites (MB) of data to use for 30 minutes in 4 of our outlets.”
In addition, Ms. Addo-Atuah commented that this year’s activities featured ‘CLUB Life’, a property of CLUB Premium Lager which fused the celebration of the Kwahu Easter festival together with highlife music. This depicts our commitment in highlighting our Ghanaian heritage and culture. Also, the headline artiste for ‘CLUB Life’ was the renowned highlife legend, Abrante Amakye Dede who performed at Nyarkoa ba Nkyarko which was one of CLUB Premium Lager’s activation outlets.
As part of our activations, we also organized the CLUB Soccer Fiesta football tournament on Sunday organised for teams in six Kwahu townships.
According to Ms. Addo-Atuah, CLUB Premium Lager would be activating approximately 16 festivals this year. “The brand’s next top tier festival would be Homowo, which coincides with this year’s World Cup football tournament so we’re looking forward to that.”
She concluded saying that “we hope that this year’s Kwahu Easter highlife activations fused with highlife performances and our new technology promotion delighted our cherished customers. ABL appreciates your immense support and hopes to see you all next year.”
